Profiles
Member profile pages are highly configurable and customizable. Users can display an avatar, status updates, friends & group lists, links, photos and posts from the forums. Blogging is integrated straight to and from your personal profile, or your group Guild, clan, special interest, or way off topic groups absolutely welcome.
Groups
Organizing a community around groups is easy. Public, Private and Invite Only groups allow you or your members to create groups, invite friends and begin building their networks. Create your own group discussion, photos, calendar of events, upload files, post status messages, and the blog about them in your personal profile.
Photos
User and group photo uploads are easy through the activity journal or through profile and group photo galleries. Create folders, upload photos, comments and more. All uploads can be summarized and displayed on the activity journals through the site.
Messaging & Notifications
Keep members up to date on new postings, photos, links, forums posts, events & the comments that follow. Private messaging between members includes user settings for who can PM and we now support attachments to Private Messages.
Status Updates
Members can post status updates (like the Facebook wall) on profiles and pages for groups and friends. Status updates fully support comments and email notifications and flow through to the site summary activity stream, giving users a customized view of all their activity
Advanced Blogging for all members.
Friends
Create connections between members through friend relationships. You can configure your profile so friends see each other's posts, can post on each other's journals and send each other messages. Friend lists can also be displayed within your personal profile.
Discussions
In depth discussions require a full featured forum. Forums are completely integrated into the site allowing members to enjoy full featured forum functionality within groups or stand alone as a forum.
Events
Users and group admins can easily create and display events. Invites to friends and entire groups combined with RSVP functionality keep members connected and let event organizers know who's in and who's out.
Links
Posting links on profiles or groups captures information from the link like title, description and even the option to choose a thumbnail image from the linked page. Like all journal features, other members can easily comment on links.
Notes
Sometimes you want to post something more than a short status update. Notes allow users to quickly post titled, longer posts on their profile or on a group journal. Notes provide members a quick way to post something longer than a status update.
Documents
Uploading documents is quick and easy for members. Documents can be uploaded through the journals and made available for download to friends and other group members.
Feeds
Users can easily import feeds from internal and external sources such as blogs, news feeds, properties, videos, etc. to profiles and even groups. Publish your content to the world through RSS feeds.
Twitter Connected
Profiles and Groups can be connected to Twitter so status messages posted in Active Social can also appear on Twitter automatically. This is a great way for users to use your social network to manage their other networks.
Forums
We host stand-alone Forums and those moderated by the creator of a group. Group forums are handled by the individual who personally created the group, including forum sub-topics and the administration of forum moderators.
Group Lists
Members can easily find groups they want to join using the built in group lists
Group Types
Groups can and most are created for public (anyone can join), approval required, or completely private; based on the needs of the group admin.
Journals
Some of the most powerful features are the profile, group and summary journals. Users can post quick status updates, links, photos and more on their profile or in a group and others can easily add comments. Integrated email notifications keep everyone informed, and the Site Summary Journal displays all a user's activity in one place.
Vanity URLs
Users and groups may have their own easy to remember vanity URL.
