The Dawn of Defiant Blood

Order Of Laibach | Rift: Guild Charter

Welcome,

First and foremost it must be stated that we have extremely high expectations of our members, and in that, our members should have high expectations of their Guild and its Leaders.

The Order gains many advantages over other Guilds through camaraderie, trust, and most importantly, human decency. Alliances with smaller and larger Guilds have and will continue to open doors to new experiences, friends, and unique playing environments. The more resources one has, the more experience one will gain.

As we venture forth into Telara, we carry our values with us. We are a Guild of friends, both old and new, bothers, and sisters. Mutual respect is paramount within the Guild as well as outside it. We honor and defend our Guild mates.

We truly encourage all to read this and all documents contained within the Rift portion of our site as there are details that may be vital to your specific play style and personality type.

Expectations:

I. Be as respectful as possible to all players, including members of all Guilds, Groups, Raids, and Battlegrounds. We are all human beings; please treat all individuals as such.

II. The Guild does not require a minimum of game time. Play when you want, and the spec you want. The Raid, Group, or Battlegroup will adjust, as you will adjust to their play style.

a. No one will tell you how to play your game, or how to spec your character. Please provide the same courtesy and never tell someone that they must spec or play a certain way.

b. Adapt to the abilities of others rather than requesting a respec. If a Cleric is specced tanking, and the group feels that this is a drawback, do not remove anyone from the group: adapt to the play style and create strategies to incorporate all member's strengths and weaknesses.

c. Never feel obligated to accept a PVP or PVE invite. No one will ever be required to Raid or PVP.

d. If you have never been on a raid, and the first time you attend the best item in the game happens to drop for your class, you are entitled to roll / loot the item, same as everyone else. You go you roll. You were there for the event, you should have the opportunity to reap the rewards, same as everyone else.

e. NO DKP (If you do not know what this is, you are better off that way).

III. Greed and Arrogance prohibited.

a. Think before you take.

b. Ask before you sell or auction. We do not charge Guild members for anything, at all, ever. Help each and every member become the best in class.
1. If you have a brand spanking new bow that will easily buy you 100 full sets of  armor and pay for your retirement, there may be a member that could use the item. Ask in Guild chat before you sell. You may be surprised at how it comes back to you later. Call it mmo-kharma if you will.

c. If a time arises where rolling on an item is a possibility, never limit the rolls to specific classes only.
1. Please roll for the character that was there for the event and not an alternate character.
2. Please do not roll on an item to simply break it down for materials or crafting purposes.

d. Asking to join the Guild simply to obtain a trip to a dungeon, money for a mount, or to ask for items would be considered in poor taste and is, naturally, prohibited.

e. There is no reason to stab your friends in the back to get ahead in the game. We are all on the same side.

IV. Human Decency

a. Although we prefer to keep swearing in Guild, Raid, Party, and world chat to a minimum, Swearing is allowed and if you are easily offended, please adjust your chat filters appropriately.
1. Use your mind to find creative ways of expressing frustration or exclamation.
2. Words such as "arse", "effin", and "damn" are completely acceptable.
3. There is absolutely no reason to type swear words. Feel free to bang on your keyboard and scream them at your computer though: perfectly acceptable.
4. Our Guild is all ages, and although we prefer members age 25+, we must be respectful of those younger than we may realize.

b. Promote expression of ideas, suggestions, and potential issues.
1. Please feel free to send a PM to an Advocate or Legion General via in-game mail or web site Private Messaging System.

c. Please do not engage in trolling, flaming, or inciting feuds between Guild members, other players, chat groups, Raids, Groups, or Battlegrounds.
1. If you have something valuable to add to a debate, by all means speak up, but there is no need to fuel a fire in a virtual space.

d. Ultimately, we come here to have fun and enjoy ourselves, and we will continue to do so in this realm and the next.

Let us take a quick moment to summarize:

1. Don't be an arse. We are here to have fun.
2. Don't be greedy. Give an item to a Guildie at no charge.
3. Keep swearing to a minimum, always.
4. Don't get sucked into flame-wars, arrogant debates, and opinionated discussions. Be better than that.
5. Be respectful of everyone, every gamer, even if you want to beat the snot out of them repeatedly.

We are a fair, mature, and honorable group of individuals. Which is why we keep the rule of: If you leave the Guild for any reason, you may never be invited back (to the Guild in Rift: Planes of Telara). Yes, even after 3+ years. Extended absences are of no issue, but you must leave one alternate or main character in the Guild.

Note: Once you are accepted to the Guild, you are a member. Once you leave, for any reason, you may not return.

Thank you for taking the time to show interest in the Order of Laibach. If you believe you are able to adhere to the above requirements, please click here and continue to recruitment.
